On being the Idiot-in-the-room

I am an idiot.

There, I said it.

I encounter ‘gurus’, ‘experts’ and ‘geniuses’ who seem to no longer be prepared to listen to and learn from others or situations.

I know from my own experience that I quickly started becoming stupid when I began to get so carried away with my own cleverness that I ceased to understand that every person, source and circumstance has something to teach me.

So, I am happy to be the idiot-in-the-room. Always asking the questions, assuming that there is always more to find out and understand.

Feel there is much potential for wisdom in idiocy.
